Weird and Religious
In medieval Europe, animal trials were a real legal practice. Pigs, rats and even insects were sometimes put on trial for crimes such as destroying crops or killing a child. They were assigned lawyers, witnesses were heard, and punishments could include execution or banishment, all under a religious worldview in which moral order applied to all creation.

1947 to 1948, Palestine. Fighting between Jewish and Arab Muslim forces included attacks on civilian areas and expulsions. Religious narratives about promised land, holy sites, and sacred duty were used by both sides to justify control and removal of populations.

In Christianity, forgiveness is emphasised, and Christianity teaches that believers should forgive others as God forgives them.
Free Will collapse
Believers are trained to stop questioning at the point where logic becomes uncomfortable. Mystery is invoked, faith is praised, and doubt is moralised, and the contradictions are not solved because solving them would collapse the belief structure entirely.
Free Will, in particular, functions as a universal excuse. It is used to absolve god of evil, justify punishment, and preserve the illusion of moral responsibility, yet it cannot coexist with omniscience, divine planning, or eternal judgement, and it collapses under even minimal examination.

If sacred texts were preserved perfectly, why do we see variations, lost manuscripts and translation disputes?
Religious Crooks
Valentina de Andrade led a Brazilian UFO religion called Lineamentum, mixing esoteric belief with hierarchical control, later convicted in a case involving deaths of children, with the group described as secretive and manipulative.
